Secondary School Transfer Morning
Education is a human right with immense power to transform. On its foundation rest the cornerstones of freedom, democracy and sustainable human development.”
Transferring to secondary school can be a time of mixed emotions and there is a great deal to take in, all at once. For many, the selection of the right secondary school is one of the most important decisions to take and in recognition of this, our school supports both parents and carers as well as the children through this process.
If your child is due to start Year 6 in September 2015, you will need to be thinking now about which secondary schools you would like to apply to for your child to start their secondary education from September 2016. Admissions are made through The Pan London eAdmissions systems, which links all London boroughs to co-ordinate admissions to their secondary schools. Under this system, parents list the schools that they want to apply for online, ranking them in order of preference.
The recommended way to apply is online and you can do this from 1st September 2015. The closing date for applications is 31 October 2015 and the national offer day is 1 March 2016.
Year 6 parents are cordially invited to attend the Secondary School Transfer Morning which will be held on Thursday the 10th of September 2015 @ 9am in the First Floor Hall. Here, you will be able to find out more about the online application process and to get tips, advice and answers to questions that you may have. For detailed information, please see the Transition to Secondary School page on this website.
The ICT suite at school will also be open to parents most mornings until the Friday the 23rd of October, with help available to complete your online application, if required. Please contact the school office to register your interest for this.
